I plan on having surgery soon to fix puffy nipples. I know that after surgery recover takes awhile, and I will be unable to work out (lift weights, run, etc.) for probably about a month. What is a good reason to tell people for why I can't workout if they ask me to? Would saying I pulled a muscle in my chest work? It is important to me that people do not find out about my surgery. What are good reasons that are believable?
Also, how noticeable are scars after several years of healing from surgery?
Thanks

I told my friends I pulled a muscle in my back. It worked well.
You could also say you had a benign tumor removed from your chest.
Concerning the scars I guess it depends on the surgeon and how you heal but from the pictures I have seen, after a year it's hardly noticeable if at all.

I think the best answer showed up on these pages several years back.
It was along the lines of: I had a growth removed, not malignant fortunately, thanks for your concern.
The beauty of this approach is that, while misleading, it is the truth.
Telling the truth could be important if you had to take time off from work. Some employers would consider it grounds for termination if you lied to cover an absence from work.
