you don't need a gp referal to see a plastic surgeon. You can contact them directly.

I cannot afford private surgery though :(

M8 my GP said there is no way the district will pay for me to have plaggy surgery but he refered me anyway.
It was the consultant who said yes straight away as i was in bits. it took me around 18 years from when i was 12 to get this sorted.

I'm the opposite, GP is quite happy for me to have surgery but consultant is dragging her feet as apparently I just need lipo.
I would either put more pressure on your GP ie talk about how it is effecting you mentally or failing that change GP's as you have a right to do under NHS guidelines.

I just needed lipo and thats just what i had done last monday. the results are fantastic, so far anyway.
