Hi, will alcohol make the scars worse, or affect the healing on a negative way? If no how many weeks or days or months after op can you drink little alcohol without affecting your recovering? :)

One more q by the way... I know that the most common way is to to a little cut on the edge of the areola but also that in some cases when the tissue is too big they need to cut outside of the areola, vertically if you get it. Is this common or unusual?? :)

In moderation alcohol should not have any significant effect on recovery. Alcohol may affect drugs that are used for pain.

Alcohol shouldn't really impact your scars, unless you drink too much and injure yourself. A vertical incision to reduce skin shouldn't be used in male breast reduction--this is used in female breast reduction to help maintain a cone-like shape to the breast. In men, a flatter contour is desired, so a horizontal scar might be useful, but a vertical scar isn't helpful for skin reduction.
