Hello I seem to have a build of some fluid on my right chest after gyno surgery. My surgeon said to just keep the pressure on and should drain by itself, but I'm not so sure. Any advice?

Sometimes there is some fluid buildup after gyne sugery. Pressure alone may not be enough to allow it to subside -- it may need to be drained by your surgeon.
Best to return to him for advice.

Small amounts of fluid will resolve with time , for moderate to larger amounts of fluid while they may resolve with time resolve faster if they are drained

If the skin feels soft and squishy, like a water bed, than the fluid should most likely be drained. If you can't really feel it than it will go away on its own. When in doubt I generally aspirate the area with a needle to be sure. i think it is better to drain any residual fluid if present.
