Title: Safe surgery?
Post by: Mark7777 on September 03, 2015, 10:52:08 AM
Hey Docs. I guess I am looking for some comforting words. I am definately going to go through with surgery  I am just a little nervous having never had surgery before.  Is this a reasonably safe surgery. Are the risks related to it relatively low. I don't have a major case just mostly gland development due to pro hormone usage. Any comforting advice or words would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

If you are young, healthy and have a moderate amount of excess tissue, you should do just fine.  While every operation has risks, in the proper and experienced hands, this is very safe surgery.

Be sure to discuss all possible risks and complications with your surgeon.  A little apprehension about the procedure is normal and acceptable.  Just don't let it build up to be overwhelming.

I agree with Dr. Jacobs. The surgery is generally very straight forward with easy recovery and great results. Good luck.
