i have  a consulatation with a PS next week. the staff told me the consulatation is for free. is this weird? shud this raise a red flag? i have seen ppl saying there is a consulatation fee. what shud i do?????

Yep, free consultation can't hurt.  

Just remember that surgeon's can be very persuasive and convicing, so be sure to think things through and consider as many options as possible.

I would never pay for a consultation with anyone except for a lawyer on legal issues.

I would think that consultation fees would be the exception, rather than the rule.

Personally, I don't think I'd pay a consultation fee.
