Title: Having the drains taken out

Is it painful when the doctor takes the drains out of your chest?  I'm scheduled to have mine taken out tomorrow, and was just wanting a heads up.

Not at all, it hurt more when they took the tape off. It feels very much like when they took the IV out of your hand.

I felt it when he messed with whatever was keeping them in place, but felt nothing when he actually pulled them.
