I had my surgery 2 days ago. It's a little soar and there's a little swelling, but not much and not much pain.
I always sleep on my stomach. I have read about sleeping on your back and not your side. But is sleeping on your stomach ok? It doesn't hurt, but i wonder if it's not good for healing?
Thanks

Good question. I'd like to know the answer, too. My surgery is in less than 2 weeks and I just can't sleep on my back. I've tried it before. I can sleep on my side or my stomach but never my back. sooooo, i'm kinda' concerned about what i'm going to do.

sleeping on side is bad in general or just after gyne surgery? don't think in general its bad at all, just a preference....

well, i heard that after gyne surgery it's best to sleep on your back or maybe at in angle...i guess in a recliner or something...but i can only sleep on my stomach or side. i guess i'll have to ask the doc. maybe if i took something to knock me out then i would be able to sleep on my back.

if you read above, you'll see many believe sleep on back is necc for 3 weeks. I was successful sleeping on back for one maybe 2 weeks. now I move from side to back and side again. its tough but they do recommend for best results to sleep on your back for as long as you can after sugery. I recommend a 45 degree wedge pillow... I bought one and it really helped with back sleeping and healing in general.
