Title: 10 Operations / year. Enough?
Post by: MaxMax on November 28, 2006, 03:01:57 PM
Yesterday, I talked to a acknowledged surgeon and he told me, that he operates on gynecomastia about 10 times a year. He showed me before / after pictures of some of his patients, which looked very good, but since those pictures can be easily manipulated with photoshop, I'm not convinced that he's able to do a good operation with only 10 ops a year.

What do you say? Are 10 enough?

I'd look for someone with a little more expertise...if he says 10 per year, he really means 5...my opinion...mine boasts 100-150 per year.  Another one locally that many use probably has similar stats I'm sure.

Sounds like if you have to ask then your gut tells you the answer is no. Go with your gut. I know I'd feel uneasy if my doctor had only done 10 in 1 year.
