I had gynecomastia corrective surgery about 3 months ago.  My breasts don't look anything like some of the post operative photos I have seen.  It appears to me that the surgeon removed breast tissue/fat only from the area below the nipple and nothing from above.  I looks quite bad.  When I asked him about it he said the top is muscle.  I can feel it it is not.  I paid a lot of money and think I have been done in.  What is the best I can do to try and rectify the situation?  Who should I see about it?  My body weight is no different from when I went for the operation and I carry very little fat.  About 4%.  Please advise.

First you must wait six months for your tissues to evolve. I know your upset, it happened to me as well. I thought I made an educated decision and went to a board certified PS thinking they all had about the same skill. In retrospect this was very stupid of me. Think about any field rather it be roofing, landscaping, or plumbing etc. Everybody you call in the phone book will get the job done, but not all are equal. Sounds like your PS is "done" with you, and will likely offer no help. Would you want him to operate on you again with the way he left you?

I am going in for a revision soon, and paying around $9,000 for my orginallly mild case. I was left with craters that make my chest look even worse than when I had gyne. So in short my advice to you is to see a revision specialist, and spare no costs. First time shame on me, second time a fool.

Posting Standard After Gynecomastia Surgery Pictures or even better yet, Standard Gynecomastia Videos can help others better understand your concerns. Tissues need to heal and evolve before most secondary surgery.

Options depend on the original problem, what was done, after surgery care, and many other factors best explored with an experienced revision gynecomastia surgeon. Not all doctors have the same skills. Revision Gynecomastia surgery can be a much greater challenge than primary surgery. Picking a surgeon is like picking an artist or sculptor. Check a doctor's specific skills with such repeat surgery before beginning to see what he / she has to offer.

Hope this helps,
