Hi All

I am 25 and have been struggling with gynecomastia sicne it mysteriously appeared one Sunday morning when I was 13.  In April 2005 I underwent surgery to have it corrected.  While the surgery did in fact help, it was not a total success as 1 nipple is still larger than the other and sticks out more.  I have been trying to find a doctor capable of correcting this and came up with Michael Bermant, MD located in Ironbridge Medical Park Suite 201, 11601 Ironbridge Road, Chester, Virginia.  Has anyone here been treated by this doctor and if so, what was your experience like?

I had surgery about 6 weeks ago with Doc bermant and let me tell you hes awsome and has a great staff.  My nips look great.  I can barely tell I had surgery on the left one, the right one is a little more obvious but that was the larger of the two nips so I fugure it took more trama and needs a little more time to heal. Anyways, to answer your question I would definatly recommend him.  I was able to go back to work two days after the surgery doing construction work, just not working as fast as usual of course.  I had very little pain and no brusing what so ever.

Almost all of my patients move on with their lives, put their gynecomastia days behind them.  Some do stay on the forums a while to help others.

Options for any one specific Revision Gynecomastia Surgery depend on the original problem, what was done, skill of the surgeon, healing, scar care, and many other factors.

Hope this helps,

Michael Bermant, MD
