Hi All,

Been reading here a lot this weekend, very informative.

I've been a sufferer since puberty and whenever I mentioned it to any dr they've always told me i'll grow out of it.  I'm 28 now, i don't think I will grow out of it somehow..

I've recently decided to go speak to my Dr about it again.  If he doesn't want to help i'm going to get a 2nd opinion, third and so on until I can speak to a specialist.

Having read here i'm tempted to go down the Poland route and bypass all the NHS rubbish though.  I'm still keen to speak to a specialist here before I proceed with anything though.

I've taken a couple of really, really bad phone pics to give you an idea.  I'm fairly lean, do a lot of exercise and primarily just suffer from "puffy nipples".

I'm 28, 5'11" and 75kg.

I'd be interested to hear peoples thoughts on my "puffy nipple" problem.  
Will surgery correct it?
Is it worth the money?
Will it come back?

Looks like u have glandular mass behind nipples.

A good PS should sort it good - shouldn't think its going any other way....

Only u can say if gong private is worth the money. Depends if u can live with it an how much money £1,000 - £4,000 is to u. It was worth it to me.

Get the endo tests. If normal shouldn't come back after surgery.

Firstly, the level of GP knowledge regarding Gyne is pitiful. You go to these people expecting them to be the font of all medical knowledge, and basically they aren't.

I worked in the pharma industry for about 8 years, dealing directly with GP's on an off, and the difference in knowledge can be like night and day with some of them. Most certainly wouldn't be well versed in the less-presented conditions such as Gyne.

I would agree with the previous poster, your conidition seems to be totally gland-related. That's going no-where fast.

At least have a consultation with Mr. Levick.

Our conditions are almost identical.  I've had the condition since puberty aswell.  I've tried many different drugs to get rid of it, Tamoxifen, Raloxefine, Lectro, Rebound XT, topical fatloss creams, but nothing has helped.  I've finally realised surgery is the only option.

I eventually got to see a consultant with the NHS but he said he just wants to try lipo first.  I insisted that I also needed excision as my condition is clearly caused by the big hard lumps that stick out under my nipples.  But of course he knows best.  That was in February and I still haven't heard anything, so I too am gonna go to Poland within the next month or two.  No point in waiting for something that could take ages to come through and even when its done wont solve the problem.

well the dr was as little help as i expected.  He first told me my nipples were normal, the same as every other males.  I had to persuade him to admit that perhaps there was something different about them.  He still wouldn't admit it was gyno.
I insisted on a blood test for hormone check etc, I will ring for the results tomorrow.
The dr basically said there is nothing they can/are willing to do.
One worrying thing for me was the effect just something as minor as a blood test had.  My arm had heavy bruising at least 6 inches long.  I guess my body bruises easily and recovers slowly.  If a blood test effects me this much, what effect will an operation have?!
