Nice one Irish. I'm gald you left a bit of hair on for the laugh an all likes.

As for left nipples, mine has a big scab on it (not one that sticks out or owt) just a flat scab. From what I've seen on here I'm not the only one.

I wonder what caused it? Irish, is your left have a scab on aswell, or is the darkness due to summat else?

My compression vest has been bloody hurting today. The skin on the whole area is sore to the touch. Sort of stings when you touch it. Although after taking one off today for the wash, I noticed that bloody thing's started pulling the hairs out now aswell lol.

Can we have some piccies then or what fellas?

Well done Irish - how nice is it not to have to wear those bandages ?????
Very, but the vest is quite tight, either in Webster or non-Webster mode.

I checked in the mirror and I seemed to have almost lacerated the skin on my back and neck taking the bandages off.

It's nothing a little Savlon won't sort out, but *very* painful!

I've since realised that I'm actually allergic to elastoplast and always have been so probably should have mentioned that when asked whether I was allergic to anything ! As a result I have the clearly defined pattern of the bandages all over my front and back in bright RED !!!

I've bought some anti-hystamine cream, so I'll give that a go tonight.......

An ex-gf Nurse said the same to me as I described the same red, laceration marks to her over the phone today!

It's only mild discomfort though in the general scheme of things. I just applied a little Savlon to the raw-areas and left-them air-exposed for a couple of hours. Nothing to write home about really.

I've just added today's diary entry, and hopefully will be taking some pics tomorrow.

I've just added some bandage-off pics to my photos.

To be honest, I'm getting a little worried. I know it's only a week, but I'm not as flat as I imagined I'd be when the bandages came off.

LHS - I can still almost grab a handfull, still feels very 'fluidey' and soft and fat, can feel a distinct hard ridge just over the nipple.

RHS - less pronounced and lumpy as LHS, but still feels quite fatty.

Check and my pics and tell me what you honestly think.

...and yes, I know it's only been a week!

You definitely look flatter, although it's difficult to tell with all that hair !!

Did you have quite large pecs before ? I had / have fairly puny ones and my gyne was quite big, so the difference is quite pronounced........

As you say, it's very early days !

My nipples are obviously slightly uneven but I hope that is because my r/h/s is still quite swollen compared to the left due to the haematoma.......

Checked your pics and honestly after a week its impossible to make any sort of comment.  I cant stress this enough, dont start worrying after such a short time.  It takes up to and past a year to fully heal.

Feckin' great results London, you're as flat as a pancake.

You seem to have the same haemotoma in your left nipple that I have, although mine is more pronounced. Give 'em a bit of finger tip stimulation (oh er missus) and keep the blood running in that area.

You've also got the same lumpy 'ridges' that I have just under the incision points. Give 'em a gentle massage every so often as personally I've found the compression vest is a little slack higher-up.

Yes I am hairy. Without me going into Photoshop and spending 2 days removing each individual hair, you'll have to use your imagination!

It's funny how some women love hairy chests and others hate them, but that's another thread.

Seriously London, you're looking pretty good, but then again you're a slim bast*rd to begin with.

My pecs aren't too developed, but I'm 16 stone, broad shouldered, and I've got an inverse 'V' torso shape which makes me look 'pidgeon-chested', making me get away with the auld gyne more so than some others here.

Seriously London, result mate, well done. Keep up the gentle massage and make sure everything is kept fluid and mobile so it can be re-absorbed.

It would have been interesting to see your pics pre-op, but I understand that its a pretty painful/emotional thing. I took my pre-op pics myself and kept them private until after the op.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, I'm really pleased with the results so far and hopefully things will only get better ! It's nice to have someone else's opinion apart from family........

The swelling over the right nipple feels a bit fatty but I'm hoping that it is just swelling and will be re-absorbed over time, as you say, keep up the gentle massage and see what happens !

In hindsight I probably should have taken some pre-op pics as we haven't got anything to compare to now but I'll try and scan the pics that Levick took just before the op as soon as I get them back.

All in all, I think we're both looking 100% better than before and it'll be interesting to see how things develop over the next few weeks/months.

He took one pic of me and ran out of film! Charming!

The one thing I do regret it not taking a tape measure of my chest before and after, just out of morbid curiosity. I'd recommend to anyone to take a few pics of themselves and measure before and after the op.

BTW London - should you still have those plasters on the incision points 10 days after the op? I left mine exposed after I took off the main bandage.

I'm with you on that one, I was thinking the same thing this morning after I measured my chest to see what it was now....

Off now, I left them on for a couple of days extra as my incision on the r/h/s is quite big as he had to enlarge it to locate the spurting blood vessel !!!
