All the creases and indents sort themselves out to a large extent but you have to give it time. I'm nearly there now after about 7 months but early stages had the same issues as yourself you have to be patient you have a lot of healing to do.

So today is my one week gyne free anniversary  ;D

To celebrate this momentous occasion I thought I would write up my suregry experience.

I got to the hospital just before 8.30am which was my admission time. I took the tube from my home and dressed comfortably (sweats and a button up shirt). I checked in at the reception, had to sit down and wait for about 5 minutes before being given directions to my room. To be honest, this was the only slightly unpleasant part of my day as the lads on the reception werent exactly welcoming and I didnt think I would have to wander thorugh the hospital looking for my room! I actually found it without too much hassle and checked in again at the nurses station.

I was shown into my room, which was massive with big window views, and barely had time to sit on the edge of the bed before Dr. Karidis arrived. He was as composed and confident as ever and made a joke about me being lucky enough to get the world suite. I took off my shirt to get drawn up and photographed and signed some paper work (another joke about signing my old chest away) and he was off. Tiff, the very lovely and kind Australian nurse came in and introduced herself and took my vitals etc and we had a brief chat. I then gave my lunch order, changed into my gown and all the rest of it and chilled out in the room watching TV. I had no nerves at this point which I really found very strange.

Before I knew it it was 10am and it was time for me to go down. Tiff took to the lift and then down into the operating area where she left me with the anesthitists. They confirmed my name and all the rest of it, had a bit of a chat and put me at ease and then next thing I knew, In went the needle and about 5 seconds later I was out.

I woke up and was freezing cold and felt pretty crappy to be honest, just really groggy and tired. This passed pretty quickly and I was wheeled back upstairs in my bed and napped for a while. When I woke up my lunch was in front of me so I had a nice sandwich and loads of water before falling back asleep.

Hours later I felt much better and was able to head for home about 4. I took a taxi and left with antibiotics, pain killers, and a body shop gift bag (a gift from Dr K For patients). I felt fine pretty much straight away and the next day went on a big walk and didnt let the op stop me from doing too much. Although my arms were sore as hell ive slowly got more and more movement back in them. Now a week later im pretty much back to normal.

The vest sucks but is a necessary evil. My result is looking pretty damn great so far but its early days.

Any questions just ask and ill post up pics soon. I really cant over emphasise how great the care was and how well looked after I felt. I would recommend Dr. Karidis and his team to anyone, they are completely first class.

Wow, time has gone by so quickly. Im now just over six weeks after surgery and I cant even begin to describe how happy I am with my results. Strange thing is, I feel like I never had gyno. Sometimes I have to remind myself of it and how it felt to realise how far I've come. Whenever I do, I cant believe that I lived with it for so long, things are so much better now.

In a nutshell, my healing has been textbook.

I have minimal scar tissue (Lucky I guess) and all of the little issues I had post surgery are rapidly sorting themselves out. Creasing sometimes appears but goes away again pretty fast and my left nipple, which was a little sunken at first, has sorted itself out and looks completely normal now. The scars are flush in line with the nipple and you really cant even see them.My chest has filled out again (In a good way!!!) and Im going to start lifting weights again next week.

Honestly, my results have completely surpassed my expectations. I was realistic going in but Dr K has done me really proud. I now walk around the house shirtless without feeling even remotely conscious about my chest, no more pinching nipples or picking loose tshirts to hide it. Im not conscious about my chest in the slightest, Ive been with two girls since the op and not a comment from either. A couple of my mates have seen me with my shirt off getting ready to go out on the town and I didnt get a single comment or second look. Its an incredible feeling, compared to before when I got ridicule, harsh jokes and twisted nipples.

What I've been left with is a normal, flat, masculine chest and I'm so glad I went with Karidis. It was worth every penny.

I think this will be my last post. I might answer some questions if anybody has them, but Im kinda done with it all........I just want to forget I ever had it and enjoy everything going forward.

This board was so helpful to me so thank you all. And good luck to everyone with whatever you decided to do.....be it surgery or acceptance. I wholeheartdely recommend Dr. Karidis if you do decide to take the plunge.

The next thing for me is a holiday on the beach early in the new year. It'll be the first one 12 years where I havent been embarrased and ashamed of my chest. I cant wait
