It was shock for me.  I looked a mess and although I thought I was ready for it .. I wasn't.  The words "what the hell have I done to myself" were bouncing around inside my head.

Funny thing is that the body has an amazing ability to heal and a few weeks later I looked fine.

Surgery performed by Mr Levick at The Priory Hospital Bimingham (UK) 20th October 2006

Yeah, healing will take ages ... but everything will sort itself out.

You got to realise your skin was seperated away from your muscle so it's going to take a while to stick back etc etc etc ... Give it atleast 6 months.

Well.......... in a little bit of pain today lads 14days post op... is this normal? I think the stiches are starting to disolve! It doesn't feel like pain from the bruising, actual pain in the breast area!

I had a random aching pain like that the other day. One ibuprofen sorted it out and im pleased to say thats the only pain med i have had to take for it.

Well the idea is to help other people. Reading the posts of others and having my questions answered by post op people has been a huge help to me. In fact, i would go as far as to say its changed my life- without these boards, i may never have gone to see my GP in the first place. If you choose to never post again after your surgery and give nothing back to the community, thats your choice but personally, i dont feel inconvenienced by spending a few minutes to answer the questions of others :)

As for your pain question, read my post above for my experience.
