Hey markashleigh1979,

The info and support on these boards have been tremendous, I'd like to thank you for your pioneering efforts as regards Poland.

I've got tons of questions and will keep asking as time goes on. I'm off to Poland tomorrow morning, will stay one night at he hotel and then go for the operation on Monday. How do U take a shower with the stitches still on? how long before U start taking shwers?, how long do U wait before taking off the stitches? How long do u wait before going back to wor?, can U go back to work before having the stitches off? I'll ask more as I remember. I'll definitely post pictures as soon as I'm done.

Thanks everyone.

Alright Gary.
Have a look here http://www.plasticsurgery4u.com/procedure_folder/male_breast.html
Read through it and click on the next arrow to take you to the next section. It will give you info etc.
As for work.... You should take it easy for a while.
If you are doing heavy work then as far as I've been told and read on these forums it will not help in your healing as you are stressing your chest and not letting it heal properly.
Are you still swollen?
My swelling has gone down a bit but.......
I am begining to get hard lumps under the skin now. It looks like scar tissue is forming :(
I'll just have to see how the healing goes as it is a bit early to say?
Has anyone else had this?
If so, any advice?

Hi,

I´ve started a topic with this but had to post it here as well.

This goes out to everyone but particularly my Poland crew. I was scheduled for an operation today but Dr Baranski declined to proceed cause my bp was too high, says he cant risk it. I cant come back till wednesday as that was when I booked my flight, so I´ve effectively wasted a trip.

One of the doctors who serves as an interpreter did tell me to sort out my bp and keep in touch.I have to say the Dr gained my respect and I´ll definitely pick him again when I get my bp down. A lot of doctors would have opted to risk it for the their pay cheque d**ning any adverse consequences.

The lesson here is pls check your bp, had no idea mine was that high.

Hello Mark and everyone,

As you all can imagine, after almost two decades struggling to find large shirts and plusters( to hold the nipples back) that would not hurt the skin I had finally managed to book my operation.

I had a ticket to Brazil (Florianopolis) booked for  the 24th of July to have my operation done there.

Happy, happy I was... Got to the Heatrow airport and the f*****  Brazilian airline went Busted!!!!

I did not manage to change the tickets to other airlines and therefore had to cancel my operation... I sat down and felt like it was the end of the world...

Two days later feeling more positive about things ( manage to get a refund for the ticket... well it will take up to three months...  >:( ) I found your experiences online.

After all,  it seems like I will save a lot more money then I thought.
If I had done in Brazil I would have paid 900 pounds for the surgery plus the ticket to Brazil at this time of the year 975 pounds.

Ok, in my case it would make sense because my family lives there so I would be able to spend time with them...  However, I will by another ticket to Brazil when I am recovered from my op.

I will call the clinic today... I will keep you all posted!

By the way, I tend to think in portuguese so sometimes I do write my thoughts in a kind of weird order... lol

HI Mark,

I am a bit confused about how to contact the clinic... Do I call Germany or Changes4you.uk?

Noone seems to mention change4you. Is it more expensive through them?

Francisco

good luck ghost..

on day you leave uk have a good meal , remeber YOU CANNOT EAT OR DRINK anything day before surgery not even a glass of water

it takes about 50 mins drive from berlin airport  to surgery. your taxi driver will show you hospital then drop you off at B&B

you will need to be at surgery at 9 am.. have your blood check and then they will talk to you about surgery. they will ask your weight in kilogram so convert from stone and pound.

then about 11 30 i was taken to surgey,  the next thing i woke up and was all over

there is a internet cafe(free to use)  on right side of road from surgey and supermarket at the end of road ( they except euros)

take some reading mags and newspaper etc.  there is nothing in english to read when your there.it gets boring

ask for tea in surgey they made me plenty   lol

Hi all, this bulletin board has been awesome, just what I needed to help me gain confidence to have an operation. For many years I have been so so concious of these two unwanted moving parts! I think Poland is the place and so any comments/advice before I contact Sublice?. Happy to see you all have such great results :) Paul
