Well guys im alive and on the other side. Just watching TV and waiting for my to arrive. Had surgery at about half 9, have to say the anaesthetic is one of the weirdest feelings ever. Only gripe I have is how dozy I am lol, I keep going in ane out of deep sleeps. Mr Levick was as always nice as ever, and the staff here are really helpful. Just wish I could stay awake for more than half an hour at a time!!

Don't know if your conscious yet beast but if you are how are you mate? No pain here, just som discomfort from how tight my binder is.

Cheers all.

Good to hear mate. I had to ask the nurse to loosen mine off a bit as it started cutting into my armpits. The worst experience has definitely been the come down from the anesthetic, at one point I seriously thought I was brain damaged or something. I wanted to reply to the nurse but I was so out of it at one stage I couldn't haha.

And yeah, I was shocked too considering I'd 'only' got puffy nips.

Keep me updated buddy.

Mmmm.... Not the best are they!! Mine is really digging in under my arms!
But like you say.... Only a week of it!
Nice to be home, although I have to say the staff at the priory are brilliant and really do look after you!
I keep looking at the picture Dr levick gave me.... I know mine was a fairly bad case but I never imagined he would get that much gunk out..... He did tell me this morning mine was a fair bit worse than yours DarkM... !
Well I guess now we are on the right path and hopefully things will heal nicely for us both! :)
Good luck my friend :)

Mine was too until the nurses tucked a bit of gauze in on either side. Originally I thought my stitchings had burst but it turned out it was the binder. Mr Levick said you were in room 2 or something but to be honest mate I've pretty ill ever since the anesthetic so just wanted to go home! I'll upload the pic Levick has given me, it was a 95% glandular case with me as hardly any fat was taken.

It's great that we had the op on the same day mate, hopefully we both have a good recovery and roll on summer!

I don't blame you.... As soon as they said I could go, I was up dressed and ready! :)
How are you feeling now? I'm not in any real pain ... Just feel a bit uncomfortable and sore! I guess that's the least we can expect when you consider what's been done!
Hope you are feeling ok!! :)

No pain apart from where the vest has dug into my skin. As far as my chest is concerned it's just a dull ache really, like you said it is definitely to be expected though after what we've just been through!

Hi Guys.... Just a quick update! Had surgery with Dr Levick 3 days
Ago and have to say everything seems to be going pretty well.
The BInder garment is an absolute nightmare and is cutting in to my skin which is actually giving me more discomfort than the surgery itself! It really has made my skin sore were it has dug in and rubbed and has made sleeping very difficult!
On a positive note.... It can come off Wednesday and I can swap to the compression vest from Macom and I can't wait!
All in all there hasn't been anything to make me regret going through with the surgery!
I haven't looked at my chest yet.... I'm going to wait until Wednesday when I change vests, so I will give you an update then and try and get some pictures posted!
Darkmagician..... How are you doing my friend? Hope all is going well and you are sleeping better than I am and coping with the binder!!

Hello brother. All is going well so far. Very limited bruising, had a quick peak at chest whilst adjusting binder and it looks great! Think I will swap to my vest on Tuesday if bruising continues to stay as it is, this binder is really beginning to hurt now! I find it bearable if I sleep with my legs elevated for some reason so you might want to try that if your struggling to sleep mate!

I might just give that a go!! Anything is worth a try! :)
Somehow I feel scared to have a look... Will pluck up the courage over the next few days I'm sure!
Really pleased you are doing well DM... How long do you plan to have off work?
