Hi guys!

Wanna start by saying thanks, because it's been really great discovering this site and reading some of your stories. Makes me feel so positive about the future without gyno :)

I've read a lot about Karidis, and i'm seriously considering heading down to London to see him. But the thing is, I come from the Shetland Isles! And not that the trip to London wouldn't be more than worth it, because getting the surgery and feeling safe about it is so important to me, but I feel it'd be stupid if I didn't at least ask if any of you had heard of any good surgeons in Scotland?

Either way, I'm getting it done this year. I've already been mucked about by the NHS for nearly 3 years and it's time to get this over with!

Thanks in advance! :P

Hi Mate, I think one of the problems with our UK section of the site is that we don't have much feedback about other surgeons other than Karadis and Levick, that doesn't mean that other surgeons don't have the skill to do it but I think it's really hard to build a good reputation as it is quite a specialist area, I know there are surgeons who will do the op for you in Scotland but as for their skill I really don't know, it's hard to take a risk with an unproven surgeon I suppose, but best of luck if you do travel down to London to get it done, maybe consider a couple of nights in a hotel to rest up before heading north again......best wishes....
