I never knew inward shrinking was normal. Does that correct itself over time?

No swelling that I've noticed, just lumpiness.

I haven't had any pain today, have you?

Yes, it happens in many cases and it fixes itself after a couple of months. Our result is far from final and it can only get better!

As for the occasional needle-like pain, it is also normal as long as it doesn't last for long periods.

I'm painless today but I'm taking it easy, trying to avoid using my pecs. The right side swelling has shrunk as well (it's not gone yet though).

People talk about swelling but I haven't had any that I'm aware of; only that my chest feels kind of hard under the skin. I'm assuming that's my long-lost pecs lol.

This is probably scar tissue forming has you surgeon informed you about massaging?

Isn't it too early for scar tissue? emanresu is fresh like me, it's been only two weeks!

I just started massaging the area yesterday as the soreness is now gone. It doesn't feel hard apart from a little area on a rib which is still a bit swollen.

Its been only 1 week for me and i have alot of scar tissue already so i think it depends on the individal.
I have started massaging with arnica cream im smothing it all out going well so far.

To my memory, no one at the hospital mentioned anything about massaging, although they do send you away with a bottle of massage oil. On this forum people talk a lot about 'scar tissue' but how do you know it's that?

Yeah massage at the three week mark, just firm pressure all around circular motions. I wish there was a guide on youtube or something i mite do one if i get the time

Just as TT say's about massaging.
Sounds like a good idea to do a tutorial video TT i was confused of how to massage this area at first.

I permanently removed my plasters yesterday and today I just saw that my right nipple's incision still has a little openning when I lift the nipple with my finger... is that normal after 2 weeks? Should I put the plaster back on? I really hope it didn't heal with a hole

I removed all my plasters on day 3 nothing was still bleeding and was all healing.

Not sure when you nipple incistion hasnt starting to heal and scar by now maybe it wasnt stitched back together properly?

Isit bleeding?

No bleeding from day 1! As a previously explained, it all went extremely smooth. It all looks fine, just when I lift the nipple, there's a little opening that I really hope that remains to heal... doesn't look like scar or anything deformed, just a little entrance...

More than 6 months after surgery, looking OK apart from my right nipple looking shrunk when I flex my muscle... however, I started working out and it's far less present.

But looking back to my preop picture, there's no trace of regrets.
