Wow you had a lot of gland there, hopefully Levick will give you some results on what fat/gland was taken out.

Even with the bandages on looks like you're going to have a great result!

yeah it was (past tense ;D ;D) a real glandular case. levick showed me some photos of the gland taken out and they were quarter pounder size lol. there wasn't a lot of fat taken. Hes going to send the pictures so I will ask him what the figures for fat/gland are.

cheers mate, we'll see how things look tomorrow when I get the bandage off and hopefully yes, this will be the start of new things. I'm already thinking of a beach holiday somewhere hot this summer  8) wont get carried away just yet though, know there is a lot of healing first.

1 week post op

Alright guys, its exactly 1 week post op for me today which means I got to take the bandages off and look at my new chest! ...well... :o Its flat lol, very flat - the gland that I once loathed is just not there anymore ;D Its a bit weird at this stage and will take some getting used to (not complaining tho :)

Although I do have reservations that its a little too flat, almost concave around my right nipple area. So yeah, a bit uneven at this stage but generally looks good. Ive followed too many peoples accounts of surgery to know that its v early days in the healing game and not to judge yet. Ive got my fingers crossed that it will even it self out in the coming months. overall it looks pretty beat from the surgery with bruising redness etc - to be expected.

mobility is getting better everyday. I can reach out for things quite well again - other than over my head. still very delicate overall tho and obviously couldn't be lifting anything remotely heavy at this point. i would say if you have a desk job would prob be ok to go back to it at 1 week.

As for the chest itself some points are numb and others like around the nipple are real tender that I don't even want to touch them.

will get some pictures up soon.

In terms of the scarring from the incision, the incision site can be seen in the last photo. It's the small red line at my armpit - about 1 inch long.

im impressed!

i wouldn't say its too flat, looks like you just have a bit of swelling below the nipple that makes it looks concaved, excellent result! Your chest will be numb for ages, and uncomfortable to touch thats normal. It took like two months for me to have any feeling in my nips, which is a weird experience.

I know it's still early, but jesus christ... that's some GREAT results if you ask me. Looks like a normal chest. Must be weird huh?
Makes me wanna travel to the UK to get the operation, serious mate. Congrats once again!

@ thetodd. thanks, appreciate your advice. you might be right it could be swelling below the nipple. will watch and wait to see what happens and if it evens itself out. will prob put up a photo up of it as those don't show it properly.
