i cant afford 4k also im english so i could get it free on the NHS, can anyone find me before and after pics of paitents done by NHS?

also im 16 and iv had gyne for about 2.5 - 3 years im sick of it, i dont go swimming and dont bother with girls anymore because of it

also i want to know how long after surgery will it take me to recover so i can go to the gym?

please dont say that the NHS wont ork on me cos im 16 cos they have worked on 14yr olds as i have already read

also will the waiting list be long?

There is no point in sugar-coating this. The NHS is realllllllllly slow, and these cases are considered case by case. I.e., its not seen as a life-threatening condition, so you are way near the bottom of their priorities. You may need to get some psychological assessment or something, and depending on how crazy you're going, that can put you up the list. But the process is slow, and could collapse even 1 year into them considering your case. I suppose you could at least try to get your case considered for now, and while I don't condone it, try and make out you are having severe depression or something. Another problem is I have heard people say the NHS doctors don't do as good a job, but I'm not sure about that one, will need someone else's opinion. Plus, try and keep everything on one thread, its getting a bit confusing.

You will have trouble getting the NHS to operate.
If you do get lucky they will a lot of the times do lipo only and leave a load of gland behind, you will then need to find a decent private surgeon to try and rectify their botch job.
When NHS do perform gland excision they often seem to make a bad job of it and leave people with concave nipples etc.

Get it done by Levick or Karidis first so they can do a better job than when you come to them after an NHS bodge job.

Just telling it straight, some people I believe have had good results on NHS. Its just very rare.

yeah but what people dont understasnd is that i have just left school i dont have a job and tbh its pretty hard to find a job as iv looked all over

my parents do not have 4k and if they did it wouldnt go on surgery for me

so private surgery is not for me

NHS is the only way i can get it done also a lot of people have said they do a decent job

If if you can't afford to go private, you need to get your Gyno Investigated by your Doctor, who should refer you to a specialist to find the cause and the options available regarding treatment. You have got to resign yourself to the reality that they will not wheel you to a hospital straight away for a Gyno Operation as it's not classified as life threatening and be wary of playing the psycho card too much as the last thing you want on your medical records is mental illness if you plan on joining the Armed Forces, Police, Fire Brigade. Get yourself to your Doc's mate and be firm with him.

I would not recommend surgery until you can have surgery from a competent plastic surgeon that you have faith in.  Just going to "any" surgeon could leave your chest disfigured, if not done correctly.  These boards are full of guys who regret their surgery because their chest still looks awful.  Not all gyne surgeons are good.  That's the truth.  You want to go ONLY to a good one.  The best chance to get the result you want is with the first surgery, so until you can get an experienced, competent gyne surgeon, DON'T have it. 

In the meantime, I would recommend a simple compression shirt for you.  You don't have severe gyne at all and a compression shirt should work very nicely for you.  They are easily found in department stores and on the web.  Just make sure you don't get one that's TOO tight or you won't want to wear it.

I had surgery on the NHS a few years ago.  The surgeon did an 'OK' job.  There is a big scar and a bit of gland remaining.

I've got a lump on the other side now.  After waiting 3 months, the NHS refused to treat it because of budget cuts.  I'm not that bothered because I have booked Karidis who I'm pretty sure will do a much better job. But if I were you I would assume they will say no also, and make alternative plans.

To be 16 and not interested in girls because of gyno is very wrong.  You should be trying to hump everything that moves.

The confidence and social skills you develop now will sculp the rest of your career.  I was a shy kid, and now I still struggle in certain situations.  Do everything you can to raise the £4k and get it done.  It WILL change your life.

Shouldnt be too hard to get a weekend job stacking shelves.  Tell your parents about it and ask for cash towards the op for xmas and birthday presents.  Sell old playstation games....  It's not as hard as you think to earn that sort of money if you are willing to sweat for it.

As above, save like hell, choose your surgeon carefully, I'm off to belgium at the cost of £2000 not £4000, the greater the cost doesn't always mea the greater the surgeon. Make sure they are a specialist and make sure they are on the GMC list.

you think getting accepted by the nhs will get rid of it? it'll just make it worse, and you'll end up having to 4 grand another year down the line. you're only 16, take a gap year out of your life to save.

He doesn't need £4000, only if he chooses to have the op in the UK, there's good clinic's across the water with good surgeons, with good hospitals/clinics, he' needs to save for sure, then do his admin to make the best choice for him. If people want to pay £4000 and more by getting ripped off in the UK (as always) then that's up to them.

No offence, there's a difference of a £1500 or so between the UK and Europe on price but there's no way in hell you'll get surgery that's safe locally for £1000. Like I said your still growing, get the condition investigated by your GP, if it's Estrogen Gyno, he might prescribe 'Tamoxifen' or another 'SERM' to reduce the Estrogen, like I said your still really young, get to doc's and get your test's done, you may not need surgery, but unless it gets investigated by a specialist, you'll never know.
