Is $5000 enough in NYC

Hi guys, I'm planning on having my surgery this summer.  After saving for a long time I now have $5000 saved up for the surgery.  Can someone who had the surgery done in NYC tell me if this is enough, or do I have to keep on saving.

Prices differ on a lot of things. Honestly I would say $6000 is a little safer. Then again you hear people getting it done for around $2-$3000
