Ahk, thanks, didn't really know about the 'areola' :). But is there anything I could do to reduce the areola then? Like, chest excercise for example? I know that it won't go away comletely, but I'm hoping it will help :)

might be able to get the areola cut/reduced some...never heard of it before.  Wait...I think i seen a dude on Dr. Bermant's site with this dude with huge peperoni areola's with a flat chest.  it looked weird but he got them reduced.  his wasn't puffy like yours though but you should talk to the Dr. B about it man!!

Lets not forget this is a 14 year old lad!

Read what DrBermant says!

Gynecomastia does sometimes dissapear after puberty! At 14 years old your WAY to young to be considering plastic surgery eitherway if it hasnt gone in two years then .. consider other options!

untill then its a small case of puffy nipples. Its really not a problem at the moment i know being a teenager is shit and you think your ugly etc etc but considering that its such a small case and youve got no fat build up around it you might be lucky and it may reduce once your hormone levels balance

Although i think titmouse has a pretty radical view on what gyne is and what isnt id be with him on this case. Youve really got to give the body a chance first!

Good look mate!

I wasn't considering getting the surgery, I was just curious as to how bad my condition was compared to other people.

If I increased my testostorone levels (naturally, none of that medication crap), could it help out my situation? I heard (from this site) zinc helps turn estrogen into testosterone.

Go to the doctor and get prescribed proper medication

Zinc does increase testosterone but what youd really want is an estrogen blocker. Your at the right age to try it so id see a specialist

"good" and "bad" are fuzzy terms in medicine.  you probably want to consult with an endocrinologist.
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

Please rate it from 1-10, with 10 being the worst and 1 being the best. Thanks
Also, both nipples are puffy but they seem to have different shapes :S I just turned 14 so I hope they go away in a couple years, I'm just curious to see if my gynecomastia is better or worse compared to other people

Rating systems for gynecomastia just do not work. It is the same idea as trying to "rate" a pubescent females developing breast.  Even subtle Puffy Nipple Gynecomastia can distort a male look.  There can be a great deal of Emotion Living with Gynecomastia.

Fortunately, adolescent gynecomastia often resolves on its own without intervention.  What has not gone away after 2 years usually will not.  How Old Before Considering Gynecomastia Surgery is a common question.

Body Shaping Garments are a great temporary contouring solution.

Hope this helps,
