New to the board, need some help

Hey all. Ive been suffering from the "man boob" from I was about 13, and they have sometimes inhibited me socially, now im 19 and I really think its time I looked more into this to find some solutions. I am currently about 5'11" 205lbs, I think i could stand to lose a few, but I suspected that this is more than just a case of fat tissue. So now im asking for any expertise you guys might have to offer me (Not the best pix, but I will provide better ones later)







1) Would my case require surgery?
2) If so how much?
3) And at what monetary cost?

If any of you guys can help me, provide me some words of wisdom, or even recommend someone in the Miami, FL area it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, thanks for the advise. And upon more research I confirmed the price range that you estimated, and it is rather costly, especially because i'm a college student. But I am going to look more into it and probably consult a physician. If anyone else has input..keep it comin'.

Thanks man, its good to know that there are others like me out there who understand what its like, and the kind of social restraints one puts on themselves because of poor self image. And this site is a brilliant resource props to the creator. One problem that I might have is fining an established gyne specialist in South Florida.

I have made an appointment to see Dr. Sam Gershenbaum in Aventura Fl, later this month so hopefully this goes well.

**Update**

I went to go see Dr. Leonard M. Hockstein in Aventura Florida. Everything went well, I asked him questions about things that I learned on this site, and he answered all of the fully. It was an awesome environment, I didnt feel out of place or weird at all. And best of all he quoted me for a price of $2800 (all fees included) for excision and lipo. With all of this info i think I shall be doing my surgery with him. Now just gotta find a way to pay for it.

This is a year old but curious to get some feedback on the docs. Not much on Docs down here in South Florida
