Thank you, SideSet.

Yes, it feels much better having everything held in place!  The comfort I get from wearing a bra is more important to me than appearances.  I do like how it smooths out my otherwise pointy breast shape and hides my nipples.

My wife wears a 34A, so she can understand my situation very much.

I am slowing learning what styles and brands work best for me.

Yes, you don’t want to be nipping out :)

Wow, you have bigger boobs than your wife.  I bet she is impressed.  So glad she is supportive and not jealous about your breasts.

Justjer,

Thank you for sharing those pictures of yourself, both in a bra and braless.

Those bras look really good on you.  Clearly a much better look than when you are braless.

I also am glad to hear that you like wearing a bra and are more comfortable in a bra than going braless.

Would you be OK if I showed my son your pictures and what you said? His breasts have a completely female appearance, mammary glands behind his larger puffy feminine nipples.  Your breasts appear to have a wider root, but then again his band size would be much smaller than yours and his breasts protrude more. I am guessing a B cup, maybe 34 band, but I will need to do a bra fitting to be sure.

Thank you Gynomom.

If you think it will help your son, you’re welcome to show him.  I’ve read some of your posts, and I hope the best for you and your son.

Thank you Gynomom.

Probably the more pictures he can see, especially of young teenagers with gyne, the better, although the young ones' pictures may be harder to come by.  I remember a slim young teenager who posted a picture of himself from his neck down, in a black bra, about a 32DD, and he filled it completely; but I can't find it again.  The shape would have been the envy of many a girl.  I suppose the initial instinct might be to get a type of bra that would just squash it all down to make it less obvious, but that comfort eventually wins out.

It will probably be encouraging to him to read other boys' stories too.  He's definitely not alone.  I wonder if it might even be helpful for him to be in personal contact with some of similar age who are going through the same thing, like Bailey K on this forum.  There was also another mother here recently who was looking for help dealing with her young son's gyne problem.  Maybe someone can remember her forum name.  It was rather moving to read her story.

Manboobs57, thank you for your input.  My breasts have continued to grow since my last post, and I am now wearing a 40C bra.  I believe it has something to do with taking prednisone for treating an auto immune condition.  I have dropped a few more pounds as well, and it only makes my breasts protrude even more.  Wish I didn’t need any support, but my breasts are more comfortable when they are supported.

Since you are now a C cup, you definitely will look and feel best in a bra.   You are now too big to go braless.

I think it is great  that guys like JustJer are open to the benefits of trying a bra and evaluating if it works for them.

I feel that any guy with breast development, particularly if they have discomfort issues, should consider trying a properly fitted bra for a reasonable length of time of a few months. Judging from the various posts, a large number of guys have been surprised at the comfort a bra provided while also improving their profile. Further, they seem to adapt to daily wearing of a bra rather quickly.

It is not a big deal to be wearing a bra as a well fitting one is comfortable, functional for support, and generally is forgotten during the day in the same way wearing socks does not cross your mind. It becomes routine. The only barrier at all is the perceived stigma of wearing one and the concern of it being seen. These can be managed and concern does just diminish with time and confidence.

When I tried my first bra it was propelled by the comments of others that I needed one, and not by my own reasoning. But I quickly realized that there was merit to the opinion that I needed a bra and have been thankful and satisfied to wear one since. As with most, getting over the concerns of the stigma and potential visibility of a bra held me back from fully embracing wearing one full time, but that did pass. I became completely at peace with having breasts and dealing with them in the practical way that half of the worlds population does by wearing a bra daily. It is no big deal.
If the bra fits, wear it.

Thank you for your comments blad.

I have been wearing bras for several months now, and find that they have many benefits.  I am still a little nervous that others will notice and I try to keep the straps from showing through the best that I can.  Still haven’t told anyone other than my wife.  Others may have noticed, but they haven’t said anything.

I find that underwire minimizers work the best for me.  My breasts have grown to a 40C and I am now wearing a few different brands of 40C minimizers.  They help to conceal my breasts.

Thanks to all those on this forum that have helped me get to this point.  If there are any others who think a bra will help, I hope they try one!

The grand irony as of late for me and with a bit of self level snarkiness, I recently purchased two bras through Amazon and they feel like sock material. REALLY soft and very comfortable.

The other half saw them on me and went... ohhhh I like those!

A small moment of satisfaction when she was actually a bit jealous of my choice in bras...

Justjer,

How do you feel about now being a C cup?

C cup is too big to go around braless, so it is good that you like to regularly wear a bra now.

Also, so good that you have found a bra style that works well for you.

Do you go in, look at bras, and try on before purchasing?

boobs are normal

JUST TRY. What is there to lose?
The longer you put it off the greater you will probably regret the delay.
Took me me several years to try, just a few hours to be convinced

So true! I waited 40 years before I tried a bra and was hooked! Can’t imagine going out of the house without one now.

I feel like my breasts are just part of who I am now.

I do most of my bra shopping online.  I’ve only been in store shopping a few times, and when I got professionally fitted at Dillards. Online shopping allows me to find all the sales or discounted items and they make it so easy to return if it doesn’t fit properly.

So you have reached the point where it’s second nature to put on your bra when you get dressed?

I bet the fitter was impressed with your breasts.  Was she?
