what should I do about this?

I'm pretty sure I have puffy nipple gyne in my left breast, not sure about right.  I can feel a really small gland that sometimes itches and sometimes burns in the left one, but I'm not sure if that's because it's growing or because I'm constantly squeezing around it.  This has only developed in the past year, I think because I drink excessively (around 4-5 beers a night on average)

I have a couple of questions

1st - Does this look like gyne to you?  If so, how bad?
2nd - What should I do?  Should I see an endocrinologist or a surgeon, or should I not worry about it at all? Because of what I read on here, I'm thinking endo first, since this is a new gland forming.  Perhaps they can reverse it with medication like Tamoxifen?
3rd - If I go the surgery route, does anyone know of a good one near Dallas?  I've heard of Dr. Hamas, but I don't know if his sharp cannula would work on my mainly glandular issue.  
4th - What is the ballpark price range I'm looking at if I go the surgery route?

1. Yes. Barely worth considering surgery at this point.
2. See an endocrinologist who sees patients for gyne. If it is new, they could maybe stop it, or back it off a bit from how much it has developed.
3. I just had a consult with Hamas. (I'm also in Dallas area) He seems to be well respected by his peers, however the sharp cannula I've heard mixed things about. Mainly second hand, though. He's a nice guy, spent an hour with me (free consult). I didn't like that he had no additional photos in his office to show me, but other than that everything looked good. Dr Dr. Wilcox I have a consult with June 28th. I spoke with another member on here who is 6 mo post op with him and he is happy with the results. There are a few others I'm going to try to consult with- Dr Friedman, Dr Richard Ha, Dr Anderson, and still researching to try and find one with lots of experience. Shoot me a PM- since we're in Dallas we could maybe help each other out with our opinions of our consults (if you decide to go that route)
4. For a gland only excision I read they are typically 3-5k. Some surgeons have a flat gyne fee (unless there are circumstances like needing to remove additional skin, etc). Dr Hamas quoted me 5000 for the gyne surgery, which was using his sharp cannula, but with 4 incisions on the chest - I'm following up with him on that to see if 2 can go one in each armpit and one on each side of chest...

Honestly, your chest looks good and I'd see an endo asap because there may be something causing it that they can make the growth come to a halt. Good luck, and send me a PM if you are interested in seeing a surgeon so we can share notes on doctors...

Thanks for the quick reply, I made an appointment with an endo that's scheduled for july 5th, but I don't know if this one is that familiar with gynecomastia.  Seems like the only ones I can find are Diabetes specialists.

In your opinion, does it look like gyne in both breasts or just the left one? 

I might make an appointment with Hamas, and I will definitely share some notes with you if I can find some more information on doctors around here.

Very little in the left if any. Dr Hamas will point out that he sees it very often that the left side is slightly larger than the right. Mine is the same way, but my gyne is worse- probably because I gained weight and am losing it. I think mine is mainly fat with some breast tissue as well. Hoping it can all be sucked out with a cannula, scared to have my nipple cut open.   

Who is the endo you are seeing? I've looked with my insurance and many say they are diabetes specialists and I think that will be the case most of the time. I plan to call a few and just ask if the doctor sees patients for gynecomastia. I think any endocrinologist will be able to tell you what you need to know, but one with experience is obviously ideal...
