My previous doctor was a woman.  She showed me how to do a self breast exam.  I have grown a little since then, but no lumps.  Still, I get a mammogram every two years, just to be on the safe side.  It's not fun, but better than a colonoscopy.

My annual medical appointment was yesterday.  He asked if I wanted a breast exam and I said no. I check my breasts every month myself.

@Dude and JJ - I know it can be frustrating to not know a cause, but I am glad that it is just that and nothing else serious.

Same case for me, but I’m nearing 60, and at that point it is common, so as long as standard tests are in range and with prostrate issues my doctors seem unconcerned (like why bother, you have it, whatever, its not abnormal)

Understanding the ‘Oh well, it’s idiopathic’ approach. I have to advocate for the ‘be sure it’s that’.

I had some historical issues with BP, resolved & then years later some Calcium issues on multiple routine lab draws. This all presaged a calamitous alteration in hormonal balance in multiple levels. All subtle changes until the last domino fell. It was the last piece to fall in place that caused gyne in 18 months, then more hormonal alterations in the pituitary, a cranial tumor & start of a lactation process. A 45 year journey to big boobs. It’s all under control now with meds & hormone patches.

It’s a little known genetic condition. A regular hormonal profile should be a part of your regular routine check ups if you have gyne. 

My future would have not been as healthy had I not looked deeper. Just saying stay alert for small seemingly insignificant changes occasionally. It might be important to your future health. Stay strong, everyone.

Upgraded our sports bras, the others were starting to show their age. VSX Featherweight. Tried rhe Max but the side band felt too high and really dug into the under arm area. These are comfy for what they are they compress a bit. And the moisture wick well when outside doing odd jobs.

Thanks even when looking in a mirror sometimes it doesn't register what I look like until I take a picture. 

Then I am like oh.. well um yeah I guess thats me.

Yes. You're not going to pull it off very easily in the passing public. Though that bra does you justice. So what if you're a bit nippley. 

Did all that odd pulling feeling and discomfort you were talking about a few weeks ago finally subside?

It is surprising how much boobage is ignored if the rest of your persona is explicitly gruff male. I'm currently 38 G // 40 F depending on manufacturer and cut and have had them mostly missed even by staff at bra fitters till I explicitly point them out. People are really not that observant, Once you fit into a pigeon hole they tend to miss the things that don't fit with their expectations.

No I still have the sensation and sensativity... areola have been puffy lately more often over last few weeks. Haven't really been record keeping just when I change out of bra I noticed some slight swelling. Occasionally. It can be hit or miss. Now as a type this i feel that puffy feeling. I am not wearing a night time bra tonight though. When I do it can reduce the sensation.  But sometimes just opt to go loose.

That sensation has been going on for far too long it seems.
 As long as you're healthy it'll probably just run it's course. Probably a little growth spurt going on with your nipples and areolas. Don't be surprised if your areolas spread out more in the end?
 The sports bra you have on there in your photo looks good and comfortable. Probably helps too ?
