Hi all,
I had gynecomastia surgery exactly 3 weeks ago. During the healing process, I noticed that my right pec is bigger than left especially when I sit in cris cross position. Also, nipple size is bigger on right than on left. My doctor took more time on my left pec than right. Can it be the reason for uneven shape? Do I need a revision?

Here are the pics.

For some reason I can't see your photos. But you're only 3 weeks out- way too soon to judge your result. It will take 3 to 4 months before you see your final result, and most surgeons wait 6 months before considering a revision.
Asymmetry is not uncommon the first few weeks after surgery. Could be muscle or residual fat swelling, fluid, etc. Just follow your surgeon's instructions and keep all follow up appointments.

Have you ever taken a photo in which one view of your face looked better than the other?  I think you may be falling into the same trap, in a sense, with the photo of your chest when you are sitting cross legged.  In fact, the other post-op pix look fairly symmetrical.

One of the problems of taking self photos is that one arm is extended to hold the camera-- which inevitably distorts your chest.  If you want to provide better photos for evaluation on this site, then  have another person take them in several standard positions -- front, side and 3/4 views.  Sitting cross legged, where you inevitably are hunched over to an extent, is not one of those views.

As Dr. Pope stated, you are only three weeks post-op and you face 4-6 months of healing before making any final determination about results. Why start to talk about revision at 3 weeks when there is still lots of residual swelling???

I agree with the other docs. There is obviously some swelling present so you need to wait till it goes away to make any real judgements. i think it generally takes about three months for nearly all the swelling to go away. Hang in there.
