1 year post op, scar questions.

Hi everyone! So I had the surgery a year ago and have 2 scars (aereola / below breast for lypo). The scar on my nipple is dark and noticeable and the one below is raised and as well noticeable. I mean its nothing too bad but i'm sure everyone knows the feeling of how the slightest things draw attention!

Is there any scar creams that have been successful?

Any other remedies you may have heard of?

Scar Revision, what is it like and how promising are the results. Laser revision?

I have had a couple options work pretty well for me...the first is scarguard which is paint on silicone strips basically. The second is microneedling, or dermarolling. I would do some research on both of these if I were you. I found owndoc.com and essentialdayspa.com to be pretty helpful. My scars have flattened and gotten about 50 percent better in around two months of using a combo of these two.

Unsatisfactory scars can be raised or thickened above the surface of the skin or they can be widened, or any combination thereof.  Plastic surgeons can help with a number of techniques to improve scars.  Scar revision consists of totally removing the scar and re-suturing it in the hope that it will heal better the second time.  Raised or thickened scars can be injected with cortisone or, if the problem is minimal, using silicone strips, ScarGuard or some other surface treatment.

You should return to your surgeon for his advice.
