Any way to get rid of scar tissue? Injections?

Had surgery six years ago, and have some scar tissue.  

I didn't really worry about it for a while, but i am getting in good shape now, and the scar tissue makes my chest stick out a little too much, especially on my left side.  

Assuming that it is scar tissue, is there any way to get rid of it such as injections?
