I pinch and pull at my nipples all the time not just because im taking my shirt (which i never do)
Its an annoying habit and it causes me alot of uneeded pain

This is what pisses me off.  Ladies can have their breast removed for cancer(  believe me I am truly sorry for them).  Then medical insurance will pay for them reconstruction so they can emotionally feel better abouty themselves.  Thats great for them but men are left out.  I feel like crap in a lesser person with moobs.   Why can't my insurance pay for my reconstructive surgery so I can feel better about myself.  Sorry just venting

are puffy nipples a sign of gynecomastia? because i do this sometimes because my nipples were puffy looking.

.... any1 else .. plz respond im 15 and ive had this for about 2 years the doctor said it shuld go away i hope so, im very athletic and i do swimming everyday so i pull on my nipple when i have to go take my shirt off so my gyne doesnt show

you no what kid i had the same problem when i was thirteen and although my nipples were always biggish the protruding puffyness did go down after a few years untill in the end i was quiete happy to walk about bare chested

a tip for when your older is dont then start messing about with steroids as mine came back but alot worse

also if this small pinching helps you get through these years and your not causing yourself pain i cant see any harm whatsoever

There are a number of men here who only wish they ccould minimize their B cup or larger breasts by pinching.
If that works for you, you should be thankful.

aquilius,  You made some good points with your thoughtful response.  I would add that psychological distress has  sometimes been used as justification for surgery.  And, it it was covered by insurance.  There is another side to this as well and it could be argued that the depression which many of us feel is actually self inflicted.   We, it seems, are our own worst enemies.
