Has anyone used him before? I have seen his youtube videos and it seems like he does great work. He also uses a local anesthesia which cuts back on costs? Concerns? Thank you all. I already went to Dr. Lo in Philadelphia and liked him. Just seeing what is out there

Just some advice on local anesthesia.

Unless the gyne is exceedingly small, local anesthesia does not totally cover the pain from liposuction (which is usually used as part of the procedure).

As a physician, I am my patient's advocate.  And I do not advocate local anesthesia merely to reduce costs.  Bear in mind, if the patient is in pain during the surgery and is moving around, the surgeon cannot do his best or complete work.  The net effect is a less than optimal result.  All guys having gyne surgery want their first procedure to be their only procedure.  Thus, my preference and most of my patients as well, prefer the gentle sleep provided by an expert anesthesiologist.  

In sum, if this is (hopefully) your only gyne procedure, why not make it an easy and pleasant experience?  It is certainly worth the extra money to insure such an outcome.  And, if necessary, wait a bit, save the money and get it done under the best and most comfortable of conditions.

This doc really does seem top notch and does everything to create a perfect chest... most gyno surgeons dont do this

Most gynecomastia specialist surgeons can produce an excellent result.

Would advise you to visit several surgeons for consultation.  My advice re local anesthetic only (see my prior post) still holds.  I have had some patients come to me for revision after they had local anesthesia for their surgery -- and they had significant pain during the procedure and an incomplete result.

Finally, after you have visited several surgeons, compare their fees.

Enough said.
