Gilberts Syndrome

Recently, I've had a gastrointestinal issue that has resolved, but am still in the process of finding out what exactly the the cause was.  One of the possible things my dr. has mentioned (among many) was gilbert's syndrome a condition listed on the .org.  I will be getting more blood tests and a CT scan this week, and will hopefully rule out gilberts syndrome.

My question though, is that I cannot find any information on how Gilberts causes gynecomsastia, as it is listed as a symptom.  Gilberts is a benign condition, but I am wondering if I find out that I do have Gilberts syndrome, and I get the operation, is there the potential for my gynecomastia to return?

If anyone knows anything about or has this condition I would appreciate any information you can give.
