why can't I see the pics people are posting on the forum?

One possibility is you're looking at threads where the posters are using other photo hosting sites to store their photos.  If that's the reason why you have to copy and paste the links into another window before you can see the photos.  It's a tedious and very annoying solution.  The site owners have, for some crazy and stupid reason in my opinion, disabled the ability to link photos.  I think I know the reason why they did this, but won't mention it here out of respect for the surgeon.

But if that's not the case, maybe try downloading a different web browser?  Google Chrome or something like that.
