Starting my first topic here after lurking for about a billion years and thought I'd share something that's been playing on my mind since I had the surgery a few weeks ago.

At 22, I'd say I had the surgery done pretty young but even I think what was I spending my money on a few years back?

Gynecomastia was such a bane in my life that it's hard to believe I shied away from spending a few thousand on the surgery at one point.

Whenever I had toothache I thought nothing of going to the dentist and paying for the discomfort to be removed and I think the same principle applies here all be it on a more expensive scale.

Obviously saving the money required is easier said than done but I wish I'd asked myself why I was making an effort to earn a living if it wasn't to make enough money to make my life a helluva lot easier (which the surgery has done).

Easily the best money I've ever spent - I just wish I'd started saving at 18 to have it done a couple of years earlier!

My point? Don't let the cost put you off. It shouldn't even be a factor.

It's an investment that pays you back over and over...
