I just went through my gynecomastia surgery, I had it scheduled for the 28th of October. I scheduled it around the 1st or 2nd of this month, so that gave me a good month TO WORRY! OBVIOUSLY! Now the surgery itself if anyone has any questions about it and all specifics im here to message because even through my research some things came up. I am excited to see my chest without the wrap, in about 3 days. I go on Friday back to my surgeon and I think he will check it out and then I prob will re wrap it but I am not too sure. I stopped eating at 10:30 last night instead of 12:00 because I have GERD (acid reflux) so they made me fast longer. I got to surgery room at 7:00, but also had nightmares all night worrying about it. When I got there it was quick, fast, and very nice staff. I had taken the valium, muscle relaxers, and antibiotics the night before and the day of that they told me to take. I felt like mabey 20 minutes within arriving at the surgery center I was all IV'd up and going under! I woke up in the recovery room I think around 1:00? So It was a long procedure... around 5 hours! I also forgot to mention the cost of all was 8,500$. I woke up in pretty horrible pain, I will be honest it was super fucking painful. Now I do not regret it, just glad that part is over. Then I asked for medication for pain, they gave me a few shots of fentanyl. That helped the pain part, but then came the nausea associated with the strong narcotic (seeing as I have not eaten in 15 hours). It was basically just as bad as having the pain, the nausea was so AWFUL. I get a ride home from parents, lye down on my bed, complain for 30minutes about the nausea while I took the ANTI-nausea medication and drank some ginger ale. I slept for a good 4 hours, and woke up nausea free. And wham, here I am posting on this forum that I have been looking at for a year! I am excited because I can see the difference even with the wraps from the side view. I have scribed narcos, and muscle relaxers, and codeiene. So the pain will be managed. Goodluck for anything trying to get this, It was well worth it! I will post before and after pics when I receive them.
