I just went through my gynecomastia surgery, I had it scheduled for the 28th of October. I scheduled it around the 1st or 2nd of this month, so that gave me a good month TO WORRY! OBVIOUSLY! Now the surgery itself if anyone has any questions about it and all specifics im here to message because even through my research some things came up. I am excited to see my chest without the wrap, in about 3 days. I go on Friday back to my surgeon and I think he will check it out and then I prob will re wrap it but I am not too sure. I stopped eating at 10:30 last night instead of 12:00 because I have GERD (acid reflux) so they made me fast longer. I got to surgery room at 7:00, but also had nightmares all night worrying about it. When I got there it was quick, fast, and very nice staff. I had taken the valium, muscle relaxers, and antibiotics the night before and the day of that they told me to take. I felt like mabey 20 minutes within arriving at the surgery center I was all IV'd up and going under! I woke up in the recovery room I think around 1:00? So It was a long procedure... around 5 hours! I also forgot to mention the cost of all was 8,500$. I woke up in pretty horrible pain, I will be honest it was super fucking painful. Now I do not regret it, just glad that part is over. Then I asked for medication for pain, they gave me a few shots of fentanyl. That helped the pain part, but then came the nausea associated with the strong narcotic (seeing as I have not eaten in 15 hours). It was basically just as bad as having the pain, the nausea was so AWFUL. I get a ride home from parents, lye down on my bed, complain for 30minutes about the nausea while I took the ANTI-nausea medication and drank some ginger ale. I slept for a good 4 hours, and woke up nausea free. And wham, here I am posting on this forum that I have been looking at for a year! I am excited because I can see the difference even with the wraps from the side view. I have scribed narcos, and muscle relaxers, and codeiene. So the pain will be managed. Goodluck for anything trying to get this, It was well worth it! I will post before and after pics when I receive them.

Experienced surgeon named  Dr. James L. Pertsch. He has been doing cosmetic surgery's for 25 years. He specializes in hands and breasts, but does other stuff. The thing that stuck out was how everyone said (including himself) that he was a perfectionist, and spends even more time to make things look even and  sometimes will goes over the time restriction just so it is perfect. He lives in san mateo, a city in the bay area califorina, which was a big reason I took him. That is 1 city from my house, like 5-10miles.

I'm sure you've done your research before choosing Dr. Pertsch.  And when somebody talks about gyne surgery in Bay Area, you'll automatically start thinking about Dr. Delgado.  I mean, I live in Los Angeles and although there are excellent gyne specialists here in so Cal, in the back of my mind I'm thinking about Dr. Delgado when it's time for me to have my surgery, at least to have consultation with.
Did you consult with Dr Delgado?  If so, do you mind sharing your thoughts?

Thanks man,
---Bobby

Honestly I did double think about Delgado, hes the biggest one in the bay for gynecomastia.But... he is pretty far from me compared to the surgeon I went to. Like instead of 5 miles it is like 25 miles, but ya... I did do a over the phone call with Delgado. He does seem cool because the fact he specializes in gynecomastia surgery. But when I had a 100$ face to face consult with Pertshe, I had a good feeling about him. Honestly he just gave me good vibes and I saw his before and after pictures, even if he may have had less pictures then say Delgado, they were what I wanted the results to look like. But the distance was a big thing for me since I live 1 city away from Pertshe and I could come home easy after the surgery itself which was convenient. I did pay 8,500$ for the surgery so I knew that my surgeon was not cheap or someone that would half ass his work, plus he owned his own surgery center down the street from his office which was cool.

Not yet my surgery was the 28th, so I am in day 1 recovery. I am in alot of pain and need to wait until friday to even unwrap at my next appointment with my surgeon. My case was pretty severe. I had 3 inch bust (b or c CUP) and it was caused by a drug that I took for an extended amount of time (Resperidol) plus I had gynecomastia genetics. I am happy with what I can see through just the wrap itself from a side view, but I have not seen what it actually looks like. Fingers crossed, the pain will be worth. Been taking heavy medications, because the pain is pretty bad.
