This is nothingworse coming back after almost 6 months. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but, I have been busy getting my life back on track after the surgery. Life has really improved since then. Boring High School is finally over for me as well. My chest is fully healed now and looking much better. I also feel much better. I am starting to work out now to the maximum level. I am currently at 16% bodyfat. My goal is to get back down to 10% bodyfat. I just want to be really lean again. This school year I had a lot of weight training and put on a lot of lean muscle. I just still want to thank everyone on this board who has helped me through the struggle to getting this done. Our insurance never ended up paying us and we couldn't sue them because lawyer fees were too high. Besides that I have also been taking better care of myself and I am looking much better. A little bit more work and everything will be easier. My surgeon was Dr. Pensler in Chicago Illinois. Once again if anyone is considering getting gyne surgery and wants a great surgeon- he is one of them. His fee is a bit high but, not as high as the typical surgeon. About $4800 total. He removed over 1.5 pounds of gland from my chest. And only 6 ounces of fat. He gets the job done and treats the area he is working on like a work of art. He makes sure to do the whole job basically. So what's new on the forum?

Who else did you consider for the suregery?  I went to Penslir for a consult, but he was booked solid through August, so I had to go elsewhere. I am having surgery tomorrow with Dr. Placik. Do you have pics?

Jones357, the first person I went to was a womens breast specialist in Milwaukee who I was refered to from my doctor. This guy was a complete idiot and thought only liposuction was necessary and was very cold and unfriendly. So, I set out to find the best surgeon in my area until Penslers name came up on the site. My mom checked him out and we scheduled a consultation. Wow, did pensler know his stuff about gyne. He had dozens of before and after photos as well all showing good to excellent results depending on the case. He had a set fee of $4780 and that included everything. Plus parking ran us about $75 for all the times we went back and forth there. So about $4850. I need to get a new camera because both my digital camera and regular camera are broken. They take really bad photos anyways. I am waiting for a good deal on a new digital camera. Until then I won't have any pictures. But, what I can say is my chest is flat. He did a perfect job on my right side and my nipple size was reduced about 30%. My left side was close to perfect as well but, the small amount of tissue they leave behind under the nipple was off centered so it is off by a few millimeters. But, you cannot expect perfection but, he came close. I think if I lose a little more body fat the left nipple will improve a tad more making the result pretty much perfect. Make sure you remind you surgeon tomorrow to remove ALL the excess tissue. I had to remind Pensler that he can't forget to get the tissue out of the side of my chest as well. Well, best of luck to you for tomorrow and I hope you get expected results from all of this. It is a pretty easy surgery so you should recover quick. After 3-7 days you should be feeling very normal again. And after 10 the majority of the results should be apparant. The first 3-7 days I had throbbing pain and that was because he removed a lot of glandular tissue from the side of my chest and that area was very sensative. Good luck and I should get pics some time soon. I just don't really have the extra cash for a camera right now. I am getting a car soon and won't have extra cash for about a month.

Cool.  I wish I would have used Penslir, but I think the guy I am going to is pretty good.  I am not that worried about the pain.  I can deal with anything for a week.  I will let you know how it goes.
