Was just curious how to judge severity of gyne. It seems to me that the only way to judge severity is to determine how much glandular tissue is present vs fatty tissue as fat can be lost through exercise. My logic is that from pics I have seen the more gland present, the bigger the areola. Is this correct?

Since the impact is psychologic rather than physiologic it would seem that the only valid measure of how bad the condition is would be based on its psychological impact.

A man with profoundly large breasts who is able to live with the condition and does not suffer as a result would thus have a minor case.

Conversely, a man with small puffy nipples who has become socially withdrawn because of the condition has it very bad.

I am speaking in terms of physical size. I think the size of the areola is a key indicator of how much gland is present.

Sorry, having examined thousands of male chests, I have found that the size of the areola has absolutely no relation to the amount of gland tissue beneath -- period!
