Alright.  I think you had a point to make, but I am afraid you failed.  Interesting.  First, Video games dont list gyne as a side effect, so whats your point? Second, sex is addicting to SOME, but it is also nessessary for the human race to survive.  Weed on the other hand, is not  and once again, gyne is not a side effect of sex.  Third, sweets are also physically addicting as well as mentally.  Look at the research showing the direct link between sweets with artifical sweeteners and depression, obisity, and horomonal imbaliences.  Most of which, COULD result in gyne in fatty or glandular forms.  I have no idea how old you are but you can type, so you should be old enough to realize that not all fat people are overeaters, and not all overeaters are fat.  However, for those who are, you can see the direct cause and effect, just like smoking and gyne.  It affects some but not others, however NO ONE SHOULD DO IT. As for the part about herion, whats your point?  We all understand physical and mental addiction and the dangers of opiates.  Furthermore, no one here said weed was physicaly addictive, but it is interesting how you feel the need to come to bat for it, and how askew your points were.  If getting rid of and the lessening of your gyne is your prerogitive, then it is logical to stop smoking pot at least untill a definitive answer to this question is posed by the scientific community. If smoking pot is your greater of two choices, smoke away and stop complaining about your gyne.  A logical person takes all precautions to lessen his grief and does not go out of his way to possibly worsen it.  Get it?

I still dont understand what fat people and sweets have to do with pot causing gyne.  I also dont understand what the hell you mean when you write.  If you want to start a thread about fat people and  sweets and their relationship with gyne go ahead, I would be more that happy to agree with you on that point.

As for drug use, let me explain somthing to you my llittle friend.  If you can name  the  drug, I have waisted my time with it.  From serious stuff to the mundain, it didnt matter.  Have you ever witnessed a person go into convulsions  after a k overdose?  I have.  Have you ever witnessed one of your best friends sell herself for a gram of tick?  I have.  Ever seen a brilliant mind die because smoking pot became more important than going to school?  I have.  You have gone out of your way to prove my point on pot heads. You can not tell them anything.  Go on smoking, I really dont care. You mean nothing to me and your exsistance is unimportant to mine.  The only part that erks me is that you feel itis OK to tell people that come here for help and infromation on how to help them selves, that it is OK to go on smoking because nothing is going to affect them.  That is very irresponsable, but what can I expect from a pot head?  By the way, thanks for calling me a smartass, Ill take it anyday over dumbass.  As for this thread, I am done with it.  The question has been answered and I dont feel the need to waist my time here any further. I'm sorry to get involved in this, but unless I missed something, all that blarney did was clarify that although weed is "psychologically addictive", this is a term that can apply equally to any pleasurable activity and hence is a little bit misleading.  He didn't say anything suggesting that it is ok for gyne sufferers to "go on smoking".  I reckon that if his handle didn't have the word "stoner" in it, you wouldnt've blinked an eye at that post.  It really looks like you just saw that and immediately discounted everything he had to say because of your prejudices against pot smokers.

I agree with hypo on this subject: the literature shows that there is a weak but real link between gyne and marijuana.  There is also one between gyne and alcohol, but I don't see you guys going off about the horrors of the bottle.  Whether or not a person smokes is their own personal choice, and I do not buy into your alarmist rhetoric about the supposed life-ruining dangers of pot.  As a University student, I know countless stoners and countless booze-hounds, and let me say that almost none of either group lets their drug of choice have a significant impact on their lives.  That some people do let pot control their existence is more a symptom of who they are as a person than of the drug itself.

Long story short:

Yes, smoking pot introduces a certain (probably quite low) risk factor for developing gyne.  There are also legal, commonly available substances (foods, alcohol, prescription drugs etc.) that do the same.  Thus, it would be wise for anyone concerned about developing gyne to cut ALL of these things out of their lives.  That said, my opinion is that, while weed certainly isn't good for your health or your life as a whole, on a relative scale it really isn't that bad, either.  I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but excepting a few extreme cases, I wouldn't worry about people who do it either.

I realize that I said that I was done with this thread, but Fause wrote with such intellegence and respect that I thought it would be rude not to explain.  After that I feel this thread should die, as another one on this topic will be started in just a few days anyhow.  As for not knowing where I got the idea that Blarneystoner was saying it was ok to go on smoking, go back to a post intitled WEED on Novemenber 23.  This is a post that Blarney started.  If upon reading this and that post you dont feel that he is infact saying it is ok to go on smoking,  then you are able to durive somthing completely different than I was.  My other thought is that by being here and defeniding marijuana abuse a person who wants to hear that it is ok to smoke with gyne will take that info, and go ahead.  Do you not agree that doing somthing, with even with a remote risk, of bringing back (or causing in the first place) a problem that caused you enough grief that you had surgery for it, is not exactly the smartest decision?  I dont care if people smoke pot, its none of my busniess.  When compaired to things like booze, I comletely agree that it is the lesser of two evils.  That is not what this about however. I do care that people know science has drawn a link here, and untill it has been answered clearly a wise one errs on the side of caution.  That is what this is about.  I apologise for allowing myself to be bated into other arguments, as I feel that they have taken away from what this thread was about, and that is pot and gyne.

Im sorry you cant handle your weed & drugs, you let that stuff control you. I have done coke, k & ice one time for fun and i never felt a need to do it again. I smoke weed all day but i still work really hard. I keep myself in good shape, I run a online store, I have a college degree and a university degree. I smoked before class every day, weed is my ridilan. If you can handle your weed god bless you, if you can't, dont complain.
