I want to schedule surgery finally after thinking about this for 2 years.

Am 43 healthy, fit.  Into endurance sport and weight lifting.  Also going to be living near ski resorts next winter.

If I had surgery in late August, could I ski by December/January?

How soon could I start weights or endurance training again?

In general, you would have to abstain from physical exercise for about one month.  You should absolutely be able to ski in December if you have surgery in august.

Good luck.  Research your surgeon carefully!

The person most involved in your recovery is going to be you.  If you follow the recommendations of your surgeon to the letter, there is no reason for you not to be able to do as you have planned.
