If I want to get my hormones check, can I just go to my regular family doctor and tell him that I want to get that checked? is it a blood test that can determine all the hormones and stuff. Also If anyone would be nice enough to quickly explain, does estrogen cause manboobs, and what is the Testosterone? What does that do?, also Once I get my surgery and get an excision and lipo can manboobs come back like they were before?

Manboobs, man boobs, and moobs are common terms for gynecomastia.  Testosterone and estrogen are hormones the body uses to emphasize sexual characteristics.  Getting a problem stabilized before surgery is the best way to minimize recurrence.  For my patients with hormone issues, I refer them to Endocrinologists, doctors who specialize in hormone evaluation and treatment.

yes thats right I am 20 years old...well first thing I am going to do once I come back from my vacation, is head to my doctor so he can send me to an hormone specialist... I would go insane if I have the surgery and then gyno comes back, wow that would suck so much...

but if you guys had to say out of 100 people lets say who have gyno surgery how many of those get the problem again after surgery.... how many out of the 100.

here's a completely unscientific answer based on just watching people here, though it'd be interesting to have hard data out of a doc's office.  if you allow for half a year to a year for full adjustment and results, i'd guess maybe 65% completely satisfied (that's about 2/3s), 20% somewhat or mostly satisfied, 10% marginally satisfied or on the fence, and 5% dissatisfied.  which considering medicine overall might not be bad.
