I'm almost a year post op and there is still a slight scar under both of my nipples when they cut it.  I really don't want to tell anybody why it is there... but I can't come up with anything.  I thought maybe I could say 'well that is just how they are' or 'i had an injury from back when I was working out'.  What do you guys think?

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
Tell 'em you once were pierced there and got the rings torn out in a fight.   Then say it didn't even hurt and that you won.   ;)

Few people would be so crass as to mention the scars.

If someone should ask, You might say "A growth was removed, but it was not cancerous. Thanks for your concern."  Yes, I know that response would be misleading, but it actually is the truth so it cannot come back and bite you later.
