I had surgery 6 months ago and for the first month everything looked flat including the puffy nipples, then I started noticing the growth of chest. My chest is actually bigger now than before the surgery. My plastic surgen who has done thousands of these in the last 20 years says it's rare that this has happend. Anyone out there experienced the same thing, what was the cause, and how did you fix it? After spending 5K I am back to the same shape. Would appreciate any comments.

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
I have heard of swelling that appears after surgery.  Sometimes it can make the chest look bigger than before.  Did your surgeon seem to believe it was actually the gyne returning?

6 months post op is enough to see the final result, so, i think all the swelling should be gone by now.  i think it's a bulidup of scar tissue.  what's ur ps's policy on revision ? u should ask him if ur not satisfied.  if u don't mind me asking, who was ur ps ?

Thanks for that, jologs1.
I somehow missed the part about his being 6 months post op.  I stand corrected.

The plastic surgeon's name is Ronald Gruber. He was actually very surprised too that it had come back so quickly. He consulted with my care physician and did some blood work, ultra sound, and mamo. And that all came normal. He will be doing a revision surgery in March. My question was if anyone else had the same thing happen to them, and if the revision was a success.

it's my understanding that gyno can sometimes return if liposuction alone is performed.  it's important for the surgeon to excise the gland in order to insure the gyno doesn't return.

not sure what you're surgery entailed, but was it lipo only?
