See most surgeons put drains on their patients?

What exactly are drains?

Drains are tubes that go into your chest to help drain out the fluid.  In some cases, excess fluid can screw up the final result.  The tubes are small and usually are hooked up to bulbs that collect the fluid.

They're not as bad as they sound man.  Sure they're not something you want to be walking around with, but usually they only stay in for the first week after the surgery...a time when you should be resting at home and doing almost nothing anyway.
