Removed topics.

Today I had to remove a few topics.  This is not really fun, but essential.  Generally there are two main reasons for this action.  On the one hand, some posts advertise specific doctors or products and on the other hand there are negative comments about a named Doctor.   
Sorry, but neither practice is allowed.

Are the negative topics on doctors just flat out negative/attacks? Do fair criticisms of doctors/their service get removed as well? If not, then ok. If they are also removed, then that doesn't sound like the best thing for the ppl on the forum who want real information when looking into getting the surgery. They should be allowed to read both types of experiences, but I guess they could always check yelp for patients that have had bad experiences. Hopefully any helpful topics, positive or negative on a doctor/surgery, are allowed to remain on the site.

10 years ago My wife and I moved to a new home and as we were new to that city we were looking for Doctors and other services.   We were appalled at the reviews.   On a hunch, I then entered the hospital My wife and I had received excellent service for many years.  The reviews there were also appallingly bad.
What I realized was that good reviews are almost nonexistent and people with an axe to grind will never shut up.   
Because we cannot expect a doctor to endlessly defend against unreasonable criticism,  we do not allow any negative commentary.   In the past there have been incidents where it appeared that a doctor was getting an unusual amount of positive endorsements and they too were removed. 
It is the only way we can be truly impartial.
