I'm pretty confident Risperdal was one of the medications I took as a child. Confident enough to call one of the law firms advertising the risperdol lawsuits. The person I spoke with said it sounded like they could help me--but it was probably more of a sales pitch to keep me as a lead. They are mailing me a contract and said a legal representative would be in contact with me soon. Sounds rushed.
I was just wondering if anyone here is a part of the Risperdal lawsuit and can give me any advice?
I've lived with bad gynochemastia for far too long. I am hoping that I can find the childhood records that prove I took this medication and that it is most likely the cause of my gyno.

There is a long list of  drugs that have Gynecomastia as a listed side effect. Others list breast swelling, and more that list tenderness.
The problem is that Gynecomastia is so normal and common that you have a real problem making a connection, especially if the condition came on in early puberty.
Feel free to contact the Ambulance chasers, but don't count your judgement payments until the money is in your hands.
Drugs that cause Gynecomastia in older men are often used for conditions where Gynecomastia is the least of your worries.

Yes, Risperdal is a medication which is known to cause gynecomastia by stimulation of prolactin in the pituitary gland.  The reason there are lawsuits is that apparently the company who manufactured the medication knew of this side effect and did not mention it to prescribing physicians.

However, the timeline of your gyne development is important.  If it started before Risperdal was taken, then there is no way to prove that Risperdal alone was the cause.
