About 2 weeks after my surgery I started feeling lumpy tissue right around my nipples and under it. After 2 months all the lumpy tissue became 1 small mass right under my nipples. I am 4 months now and the mass has hardened quite a bit and it is now down to about the size of a quarter on each side. In my case I believe its probably scar tissue since it still feels uncomfortable and actually hurts if i try to squeeze it, my fear is that i still have plenty of gland still left since it feels very solid and like you said its hard to believe it will go away. It really sucks cause i expected better results by now...I will just try to be as patient as possible...and am looking forward to my scheduled visit with the dr. in about 2 weeks.

This is natural healing tissue, and it still hurts me to squeeze mine (I'm 8 months post-op).  Gland is not as hard as this stuff is.

Give it time.  Our bodies do not heal nearly as swiftly as we would like.
