hello, i had surgery september 06, 2006. so its been 11 months. overall, its really hard to say if im happy i had the surgery, since the results of the surgery havnt been the best and in someways, i look worse now than before. at least before i looked natural, while now i have some irregularties that make me very self conscious. so im trying to decide if i should make the long distance trip back to the doctor i went to and see if he can fix/improve anything. here is what is bothering me:

1)my left side/nipple. I think the doctor took too much out of the lower part of my left pectoral area. my nipple now sags and folds over. i always had larger than normal pink nipples, so im sure thats part of the problem, since now that things were removed, the nipple still is the same size and looks funny. the worst part is that the sagging/folding nipple is visable through my clothing, so ive been wearing double baggy layers of clothes all summer to hide it. im a thin person otherwise, so it looks noticable. is there anything that can be done about this?

2)my right side i have what im assuming is scar tissue. it runs along the bottom contour of the pectoral and doesnt feel totally hard, but it noticable that there is something lumpy there. im thinking its permanent, since it doenst seem to be reducing over the months. will the doctor be unable to work with this side of my chest due to the scar tissue? im asking this because the unlike the left side, the doctor didnt take enough out. so i have one mostly flat left side, with saggy nipple, and then a larger right side that still has fat and a puffy nipple. it looks very uneven, and the breast shape of the right of my chest is more noticable than the left through my clothing. can the doctor go back and work on this side even if there is scar tissue?
3)this one isnt too bad, but figured id ask anyways. on my right nipple there is a white spot that will not tan. im guessing it is scar tissue or something. it is noticable, but at least its not overly large. what is worse though, is that the two spots under my pectoral area where the doctor made incisions do not tan either, so i have two evenly placed pink spots on my chest. i guess ill have to stop tanning?

ok thxs for any advice, really not sure if i should go back to the doctor or not. it would be an expensive trip that would involve time off work, that kinda thing, but if something can be done, then ill probably go ahead and do it. otherwise, id rather not have to go through surgery again and months of healing if im not going to get much improvement.

u need revision

ok then you think that my problems can be fixed? even with the scar tissue?
i dont know if i should see a different doctor, and spend thousands of dollars again, or if i should go back to the first doctor and hope that he does a better job this time. the results i got are not normal? would you say that the doctor did a bad job?

so do you think that my doctor did a bad job/is a bad doctor, or do these kinda results just happen sometimes when you have surgery?

Every surgery has it's risks no matter how skilled the surgeon.  If you don't feel comfortable going back to your original surgeon, then don't.  To me, it looks like you only got lipo (correct me if I'm wrong).  People who have had lipo only are almost always dissatisfied with the results.  I know I am.  2.5 years from having sharp cannula lipo only surgery, I still have puffy areolas and am considering a revision.  This time I'll make sure it's excision, though I'm terrified of the scarring.  I have the same kind of "fold" you do.  My surgeon tells me it's scar tissue adhesion but I think he just took out too much in the wrong spot.  I no longer have any trust in him since this whole post op experience had been a disaster.

Get another surgeon's opinion, someone reputable.  Who was your original surgeon by the way?

no, im certain that the doctor took gland tissue as well. it was not just lipo. i remember him talking about that, he said he could take more gland out later on. The doctor i went to was Dr. Eli Judah in Toronto. im from Canada. I would go to another doctor, but would rather not pay more money if not much can be done to improve my appearance, and im a little nervous that it could actually end up worse looking. so I will probably go see the first doctor i saw as repeat surgery. i would also look into a second opinion, except i live in rural northern alberta. no idea where the closest reputable surgeon would be.
