Surgery question

I have had gynecomastia since puberty. I have the typical lumps under each nipple. In addition, I have a string of matted lumps on each breast that is connected to the lump under the nipple and extends all the way up to each shoulder. My question is, what is this and can surgery correct this as well?

Could not answer what the lumps are without a physical examination.  Breast tissue does not typically extend to the shoulder.  In rare circumstances, there can be some lymph nodes near the lateral chest and breast.

Surgery for gyne is aimed at re-contouring the chest and removing excess tissues -- it is not meant to go after questionable (and most likely benign) structures just to satisfy the patient's curiosity.

Suggest you seek the opinion of an experienced gyne surgeon in your area.
